Houses and materials

 Hello families!

As you know we are learning about houses and now we also learn about materials to build houses:

WOOD = fusta

METAL= metall

FABRIC= tela

STRAW= palla

STONE= pedra

GLASS= vidre

                      

Can you think of a house for a pet? Say what pet it is and what materials is the house made of.

Aquesta publicació és per avisar que la setmana propera farem el 1r examen d'anglès d'aquest curs. Han d'estudiar la unitat 1 que comprèn:

VOCABULARY : ACTIONS 

juggle, dance, skate, skip, read, draw, play football, play tennis, play tag, play hide and seek,

play marbles, play hopscotch. (El que significa ho tenen als dibuixos del llibre i en teoria ja ho saben perquè ho  hem treballat prou a classe). 

SENTENCES (FRASES):
I can .... / I can't  (Jo sé o puc / Jo no sé o no puc).

El mateix amb HE / SHE (ell/ella)

EXEMPLES:

I can dance. I can't juggle.

She can play marbles.

He can't play hide and seek.

La data de l'examen depèn del grup: dimarts 9 novembre, dimecres 10 o dijous 11(ho hem anotat a l'agenda).

Si algú falta per un motiu justificat no passa res, farà l'examen quan torni venir.

This wekend the students of first and second have written in the "agenda" they have to study (unit 4) but some of them did not take the book. Don't worry! They'll take it on Monday and then they will study. But if you can use the web they can start studying with it and if they have the photocopies they have done at home they can also study them!

Aquest cap de setmana els/les estudiants de 1r i 2n han escrit a l'agenda que han d'estudiar (unitat 4) però alguns/es no se'n varen dur els llibres. No passeu pena! Els se'n duran el dilluns i llavors estudiaran. Però si podeu usar internet poden començar a estudiar amb la web i si tenen les fotocòpies que han fet a casa també les poden estudiar!

1st & 2nd Primary

Hello students and famílies!
We are studying unit 4: in 1st _ the food and where we get it from and in 2nd_ games and the parts of the school and what we can or not do in each one.
Last weekend they all had to do one page of a photocopy and next weekend they must do the other page.

PETS unit 2 -_2nd EP_

Hello!!!
We are in unit 2. In 2nd  Primary it is about PETS (mascotas). So here you are a gameto learn some of them.  In the book there are more: turtle, rabbit , hàmster, lizard and for the dog _ puppy, for the cat_ kitten (the names for these animals when they are babies).
English for little children  _You have to choose the circle about pets in the snail (caracol). _

In this webpage you can also play games to revise the house and the rooms from unit 1.

For homework they have a photocopy but they only have to do ONE page: worksheet 1. Thank you!

tiger 2 webpage _2nd Primary

Hello!
In 2nd Primary, unit 1, in the story Tiger, Jay, Sue and Li are playing "hide and seek" so we learn the rooms and some furniture in the house as well as prepositions (in - on - under - next to - behind).
For homework the students have a photocopy with a song "Where is Li?" to practise all these.

A 2n de primària, unitat 1, a la historieta Tiger, Jay, Sue i Li estan jugant a "amagar-se i trobar-se" així nosaltres aprenem les habitacions i alguns mobles així com preposicions (dins - damunt - davall - devora de - darrera de). Per deures els alumnes tenen una fotocòpis amb una cançó "On és Li?" per practicar tot això.

WEEKEND 1-2 February 2014

Hello!

I want to explain something here because it always causes misunderstandings. When we write "study" in the "agenda", that does not mean that there is an exam, but that the students have to study something -a song, vocabulary...- because it is necessary that they study little by little: one day one thing and another day another thing. When they have to study for an exam, we write "exam" in the "agenda".

This weekend the 2nd  Primary students have to start studying the story 2: Neon the fish (the 1st half of the story). They have a photocopy but it is better if they can study it through the webpage of Big Surprise! 2.

The students of 1st Primary do not have homework, so they can review and play games in the webpage Big Surprise! 1 or others.

Vull explicar aquí un a cosa perquè sempre causa malentesos. Quan escrivim "estudiar" a l'agenda, això no significa que hi ha un examen, sinó que els alumnes han d'estudiar alguna cosa -una cançó, vocabulari...-perquè és necessari que estudiin poc a poc: un dia una cosa i un altre dia una altra cosa. Quan han d'estudiar per a un control, escrivim "exam" a l'agenda.

Aquest cap de setmana els/les alumnes de 2n de Primària han de començar a estudiar la història 2: Neon el peix (la 1ª meitat de la història). Tenen una fotocòpia però és millor si la poden estudiar mitjançant la pàgina web de Big Surprise!2.

Els/les alumnes de 1r de Primària no tenen deures, així que poden repassar i jugar els jocs de l pàgina web de Big Surprise!1 o d'altres.

1st & 2nd Primary

Hello! The homework for this weekend was to check the webpage of the book: Big Surprise! On Thursday or Friday, depending on the group, I gave you a paper with the instructions to use the webpage, the user and the password. There you have the songs and stories in the book and lots of games to practise English.
If you have problems or you loose these instructions, please contact with me through the agenda or the tutor teacher. Thank you!

Hola! Els deures per a aquest cap de setmana eren comprovar la pàgina web del llibre: Big Surprise! El dijous o el divendres, depenent del grup, us vaig donar un paper amb les instruccions per usar la pàgina web, l'usuari i la contrasenya. Allà hi teniu les cançons i historietes del llibre i un mjnt de jocs per practicar l'anglès.

I have given them a photocopy with the text but the best way to study it is with the multi-rom or the webpage of Surprise!. You have the link to the page on the right side of this blog and below this you have the text I have given to the students. Sometimes what I give is shorter than in the web but it is enough.

Avui és divendres i hi ha unpoc de feina per fer a casa el cap de setmana per als estudiants de 1r i 2n Primària. Haurien d'estudiar la històrieta de la unitat 1.
1r Primària: On és el meu bebè?
2n Primària: El sol i el vent.
Jo els he donat una fotocòpia amb el text però la millor manera d'estudiar-la és amb el multi-rom o a la pagina web de Surprise! Teniu l'enllaç a la part dreta d'aquest blog i més avall teniu el text que he donat als estudiants. A vegades el que jo don és més curt que al llibre o a la web però és suficient.

Deures: pintar n'Alex. Escriure:
Jo duc posat (vestesc)...
Estudiar.
(Es pot escriure al mateix paper o a un full apart.)

EXAMPLE:
I'm wearing a white t-shirt, white shorts, white socks and white trainers.

(En fer els deures s'hauria de canviar
'white' pel color en què s'hagi pintat la roba. Llavors s'ha d'estudiar el que s'ha escrit.)
