Happy Halloween!
I do not like Halloween very much because I think it is not one of our holidays. It is a tradition in England and Anerica, so I teach it as a part of their culture but not ours.
Anyway, it is fun for the children and songs like this are very nice. So here you are:

Today is Friday and there is some homework for the weekend for the students of 1st & 2nd Primary. They must study the story of unit 1.
1st Primary: Where is my baby?
2nd Primary: The Sun and the Wind
I have given them a photocopy with the text but the best way to study it is with the multi-rom or the webpage of Surprise!. You have the link to the page on the right side of this blog and below this you have the text I have given to the students. Sometimes what I give is shorter than in the web but it is enough.

Avui és divendres i hi ha unpoc de feina per fer a casa el cap de setmana per als estudiants de 1r i 2n Primària. Haurien d'estudiar la històrieta de la unitat 1.

Good news!
Dear Parents and friends,
Probably your children have already told you but I want to speak to you about a new "auxiliar de conversa" we have this year.
From 2008, there has been an auxiliar de conversa in the school but this person was working with older children so I did not mention it here. This schoolyear 2010/11 she is helping the students from 2nd Primary to 5th Primary.
Her name is Sarah and she is from United States of America. She will be one session a week with each group to help them with the skills of listening and speaking. Now we have a real model of American English and the children must take advantage of this paying attention and participating. I am sure they are going to enjoy if everybody colaborates as each one can.
Benvolguts pares i amics,
Probablement els vostres fills/es ja vos ho han dit pero jo vos vull parlar sobre una nova auxiliar de conversa que tenim aquest any.
Des de 2008 hi ha hagut a l'escola una auxiliar de conversa pero aquesta persona treballava amb els mes grans i per aixo no la vaig mencionar aqui. Aquest curs 2010/11 ella ajudara els alumnes des de 2n fins a 5e de Primaria.
Els seu nom es Sarah i es dels Estats Units d'America. Estara una sessio setmanal amb cada grup per ajudar-los amb les habilitats de escoltar i parlar. Ara tenim un model real d'angles america i els infants han d'aprofitar aquest avantatge posant atencio i participant. Estic segura que s'ho passaran be si tothom col·labora, cadascu com pugui.

Hello parents and students!
We have started a new school year and I want to welcome you.
Remember that in this blog you have complementary activities to do at home, we don't do them in the classroom because there is no time to do everything.
For 1st & 2nd Primary, if you look in October 2009 you will find a list of the vocabulary that appeaars in the activity book (the book that your children take home for homework). They have another book in the classroom that they can't take home.
For anything you want to know, please contact with me through the "tutores" of your children or the agenda.
Have a nice school year!

Recordau que en aquest blog teniu activitats complementàries per fer a casa, no les feim a la classe perquè no hi ha temps per fer-ho tot.
