We have finished unit 4:A day at the farm , animals and parts of the animals.

But some students don't know yet how to use the expressions we have studied so I recommend you to work more in it.

Hem acabat la unitat 4: Un dia a  la granja, animals i parts dels animals.

Però alguns estudiants no saben encara usar les expressions que hem estudiat així que vos  recoman fer feina un poc més en això.

It's got= té

It's got a tail. = Té una coa.

It's got a beak. = Té un bec.

It's got wings. = Té ales.

It's got feathers. = Té plomes.

In unit 4: At the farm  we learn to say how many animals there are. 

Example: There are two pigs and four sheep.

Remember  in unit 3 we studied how to say if there is only one:

There is a bee

unit 4 : A day at the farm

 Hello students and families!

Here I am to say to you that we are studying now unit 4. In this unit we are going to learn some animals (farm animals), parts of the animals and the expression THERE ARE.

In unit 3 we have studied THERE IS and THERE ARE is the same but for the plural. In Spanish and Catalan we say the same: hay o hi ha, aquest és el significat de There is (there's) i There are but in English we use there is with 1 thing and there are with 2 or more things.

Examples:

There is a farm.- Hi ha una granja. There is a farmer.- Hi ha un granger/granjera.

There are two horses.- Hi ha dos cavalls. There are four sheep- Hi ha dues ovelles.

He posat les ovelles d'exemple perquè es diu igual en singular i en plural: 1 sheep, 2 sheep, 3 sheep...

Now we study the unit 4. In this unit we have some animals and we make the plurals of these animals. 

We are going to study to say and write THERE ARE = Hi ha, quan la paraula que ve darrera està en plural. A la unitat 3 vårem estudiar THERE IS que és quan hi ha una cosa, en singular.

Exemples:

There is a dog.

There are four dogs.

Dels animals que teniu al principi de la unitat ATENCIÓ a  sheep perquè no varia en plural: 1 sheep, 2 sheep, 3 sheep...

(Al vídeo no surten ben bé els mateixos que al llibre. Al llibre no hi ha goose, donkey ni turkey. Les paraules que surten al vídeo estan bé però si posau subtítols surten amb errors!)

 Hello boys and girls of 3rd! 

Now we start the book of 3rd. The unit 1 is about animals in damger of extinction.

We are studying the names and ask and answer questions about them.

To start some simple questions like:

-Are they small?

-No, they aren't.

-Are hey big? 

-Yes, they are.

...

Remember: at the end of the activity book you have the Picture dictionary and All about grammar to study the vocabulary and the expressions.

Unit 5: A day at the farm

Hello boys and girls of 3rd! 

We have started the unit 5 of the book of 2nd in which we study animals in a farm and also parts of the animals.After this unit we will start the book of 3rd with a unit that is about animals too.

We have to learn the expression It's got ... = It has got... (Té...)

Next week we have an exam only of VOCABULARY (units 4 & 6, pages 38,39, 44, 60, 61, 66).
