Hello everybody!

I want to tell you some news although I am late because I should have posted this last week.

At school we already have a language assistant that helps our students to improve their language skills, especially oral expression and comprehension.

Her name is Sarah Jones and she comes from Missouri (USA).

Meeting with parents 1st cycle Primary

Hello Parents and everybody,

Last Thursday we had a meeting at school. I did not have enough time to go through all the classes so I chose to go first to the groups of 1st Primary because the parents of 2nd Primary already know things from last year.

Anyway I will summarize here what I told you so you can remember it or if you could not come, you can read it here, as well as the 2nd year parents that I did not visit.

Hola Pares I Mares I tothom,

Dijous passat vàrem tenir una reunió a l’escola. No vaig tenir prou temps per passar per totes les classes així que vaig escollir anar primer als grups de 1r Primària perquè els pares i mares de 2n Primària ja sabeu les coses de l’any passat.

De totes maneres resumiré aquí el que vaig dir així ho podeu recordar o si no vareu venir, ho podeu llegir aquí, així com els pares i mares de 2n que no vaig visitar.

Methodology

I always speak in English to your children. In first level, most is oral and in second we start with reading and writing gradually. It is very important that the kids look at me and the materials I use to understand most of the things, if not, it is more difficult that they follow the lesson in English.

Metodologia

Sempre parl en anglès als vostres nins/es. A 1r nivell, la majoria és oral I a segon començam la lectura i escriptura gradualment. ës molt important que els infants em mirin i als materials que empr per entendre la major part de les coses, si no, és més difícil que segueixin la lliçó en anglès.

Materials

Apart from the materials I have (digital board, videos, recorded listenings, songs, flashcards, story cards…) students have the class book, CD and the Skills Record Book. The CD, that I gave to them, is to keep it at home and listen and learn the songs. The class book is usually in the class and sometimes they will take it home but they have to bring it back to school for the next English lesson (very important). The Skils Record Book is a new little Book to study at home.

Materials

Apart dels materials que jo tenc (pissarrra digital, vídeos, gravacions orals, cançons, tarjetes de vocabulari i de les historietes…) els estudiants tenen el llibre de classe, el CD i el llibre de registre d’habilitats. El CD, que els vaig donar, és per guardar-lo a casa i escoltar i aprendre les cançons. El llibre de classe està normalment a l’aula i a vegades se l’enduran a casa però l’han de tornar a l’escola per a la propera sessió d’anglès (molt important). El llibre Skills Record Book és un nou  llibre petitó per estudiar a casa.

Assesment

In first cycle what is more important is that they enjoy English and they participate and show interest in doing things. The observation of the students in class and the work done is what I consider to avaluate. We may do a few “exams” but the evaluation is not the mark they have in the exam.

Avaluació

A 1r cicle allò que és més important és que gaudeixin de l’anglès i participin i mostrin interès en fer coses. L’observació dels estudiants a classe i la feina feta és el que tenc en consideració per avaluar. Pot ser que facem uns pocs “controls” però l’avaluació no és la nota que han tenen al control.



                                                     

CD SONGS AND GAMES

Hello everybody! 
Last week the 2nd Primary students took their Songs CDs home, so they can listen and learn the songs. This week, if it is possible or next week, the students of 1st Primary and Infants will also take them.
 In Primary they have only one CD with songs. There are no Games CD this year.
 In 4 & 5 years they have two CDS: one songs CD and another one with Computer games to play and practise the vocabulary and the stories. 
All of you can also use this blog to play games, watch videos and get diverse information. To contact with me the best way is through the agendas of your sons and daughters or by their teachers.

 Hola a tothom! 
La setmana passada els/les alumnes de 2n de Primària se'n varen dur els CDs de cançons a casa. Aquesta setmana, siés possible o la setmana que ve, els estudiants de 1r de Primària i Infantil també se'ls enduran.
 A Primària tenen només un CD amb cançons. No hi ha CD de jocs aquest any.
 A 4 i 5 anys tenen dos CDs: un CD de cançons i un altre amb jocs d'ordinador per jugar i practicar el vocabulari i les historietes.
 Tots vosaltres podeu també usar aquest blog per jugar, mirar videos i obtenir informació diversa. Per contactar amb mi la millor manera és a travès de les agendes dels vostres fills i filles i pels seus/ per les seves mestres.

Hello Mums, Dads and all of you!
I have been very busy and I have had the blog stopped. This year the beginning of school has been not normal at all but I do not want to use the blog for this matters. Now the lessons have started and I will post some things here for the ones that visit the blog and for the chidren to use it.
In 3, 4 and 5 years there is nothing new. We go on with Robby Rabbit and the stories in the books (in 3 years the students do not have book but they also have stories). I only teach one group of this level: 3yearsC and teacher María José is in charge of the groups A and B.
In 1st and 2nd Primary we are using Big Surprise! This is a new edition of the book Surprise! and it includes more vocabulary, rhymes, activities... and it is a bit different. It has got a Songs CD that the students will soon take to their houses and they can listen and learn the songs, which is a very good way to learn English. I myself have learned a lot through songs.
I will keep in touch with you through this blog as well as through the Agenda.

Hola Mamàs, Papàs i tots vosaltres!
He estat molt ocupada i he tengut el blog aturat. Aquest any l'inici de l'escola no ha estat gens normal però no vull usar el blog per a aquests assumptes. Ara les classes han començat i posaré algunes coses aquí per als que visitau el blog i perquè els infants l'emprin. 
A 3,4 i 5 anys no hi ha res de nou. Continuam amb en Robby Rabbit i les historietes als llibres (a 3 anys els infants no tenen llibre però també tenen historietes). Jo només enseny a un grup d'aquest nivell: 3 anys C i la mestra María José s'encarrega dels grups A i B.
A 1r i 2n Primària usam Big Surprise! Aquest és una nova edició del llibre Surprise! i incloumés vocabulari, "rhymes", activitats... i és un poc diferent. Té un CD de cançons que els alumnes duran aviat a casa i que poden escoltar i aprendre les cançons, que és una manera molt bona d'aprendre anglès. Jo mateixa he après un munt mitjançant cançons.
Estaré en contacte amb vosañtres a travès d'aquest blog així com a travès de l'Agenda.
